WBUR is pleased to announce that the news magazine program Here and
Now has won a 2004 James
Beard Foundation Award for broadcast journalism.
Often called "the Oscars of the food world," the annual James Beard
Foundation Awards honors the finest chefs, restaurants, journalists,
cookbook authors, restaurant designers, and electronic media professionals
in the country.
Here and Now was selected best entry in the category "Radio Food Short
Form" for three segments hosted by Scott Haas and produced by Jonathan
Marston, Emiko Tamagawa, and Lindsay Crudele. Listen to the pieces
