Setback for the U.S. at The United Nations
Story aired: Friday, March 14, 2003

President Bush will meet the leaders of Britain and Spain in the Azores this weekend in a last minute summit for the embattled allies to regroup and consider their strategy on Iraq.

Meanwhile, the chances of a successful U.N. resolution for an attack on Iraq look smaller than ever. France and Russia have pledged to veto any resolution that would lead to war, and non-permanent Security Council members Chile, Guinea and Mexico are now saying they would abstain or vote against a new resolution.

The president also spoke this morning about a peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, promising to unveil his "roadmap to peace" once a new Palestinian prime minister is sworn in.
