Shania Twain
Country Music Popularity
Story aired: Monday, March 17, 2003

It appears that aging rock and roll fans have chosen a new form of music to take them gently into that good night.

The air waves are filled with country music, songs by Faith Hill, Darryl Worley, Shania Twain, and Garth Brooks.

Johnny Cash has a hit with that great song "Hurt" and another elder statesman, George Strait, is not all that happy with the direction country is taking.

Guests:

Tim Riley, music critic
