Ted Kennedy (AP)
Pockets of Protest in Congress
Story aired: Monday, March 17, 2003

The British parliament will meet in emergency session today for debate over a war that may be just days away. The Turkish parliament recently debated allowing U.S. troops to pass through their country on the way to the highlands of Northern Iraq.

Demonstrators for and against the war gathered across the United States this weekend.

The one democratic forum that seems to have been silent on the topic of possible war with Iraq is the United States Congress, but there have been pockets of protest of the Bush administration's policy.

Guests:

Senator Ted Kennedy, (D) Massachusetts
