India and Pakistan Test Fire Missiles Story aired: Wednesday, March 26, 2003
Today India and Pakistan once again engaged in back and forth testing of missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
The launches came as India repeated assertions that Pakistan was to blame for the recent massacre of 24 Hindus in Kashmir.
Although the rivals often engage in roughly simultaneous testing of ballistic equipment capable of reaching the other's territory, Pakistan complained that India failed to notify authorities in advance of the test.
Officials in Pakistan said that it is customary for a country to inform the other of a test, and that this time they were taken by surprise.
