British Prime Minister Tony Blair (AP)
Frontline's "Blair's War"
Story aired: Thursday, April 03, 2003

British Prime Minister Tony Bair has been George Bush's strongest European ally in the war against Iraq.

However, as a new Frontline documentary points out, in the last two years Blair not only faced war in Iraq, but attempted to mediate an impending divorce between the sparring U.S. and Europe.

As they say, no good deed goes unpunished. Blair's role cost him at home and abroad.

The Frontline film is called "Blair's War." It gives us an opportunity to talk about the beleaguered and fascinating British leader. Executive producer Eamonn Matthews joins us to talk about the documentary.
