Suspect Jose Padilla (AP)
Accused Terrorists Brought to Trial
Story aired: Monday, April 28, 2003

Across the United States, a series of terrorism trials are moving forward, despite being mostly off the front pages of the nation's papers.

In trials overseas, many reports circulate about attacks carried out and attacks allegedly planned by cells in Indonesia, Germany, Great Britain and Spain, and the list could continue.

To learn about which trials are ongoing and whether they are really taking a bite out of terrorism in the U.S. and abroad, we speak with Siobhan Roth, reporter for the Legal Times and Matthew Levitt, Senior Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

Guests:

Siobhan Roth, reporter for the Legal Times

Matthew Levitt, Senior Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
