Supreme Court Upholds Mich. Affirmative Action

In split decisions today, the Supreme Court first upheld the legality of an affirmative action program at the University of Michigan Law School and then struck down a University of Michigan point-based admission policy that assigned points based on race.

In another ruling today, the court said that Congress can force libraries to block access to pornographic websites from public computers.

Lyle Denniston is the Supreme Court reporter with the Boston Globe and he joins Here and Now to discuss the decisions.
