George Galloway
Story aired: Wednesday, June 25, 2003

Fiery British member of Parliament George Galloway says he will sue the Christian Science Monitor.

In April, the Christian Science Monitor and two British papers claimed to have found Iraqi government documents showing Galloway was paid to further Iraq's interests in the West.

This past week, the Monitor retracted their story, saying they now know the documents they found are forgeries.

Galloway, who was suspended from the Labour Party in May for comments critical of Prime Minister Blair and U.S. President George W. Bush, says he doesn't accept the apology.

Mr. Galloway joins Here and Now to discuss the story. The Christian Science Monitor declined to speak to Here and Now at this time.

Guests:

George Galloway, British Parliament member.
