U.S. Called to Intervene in Liberia War

The forces of Liberian President Charles Taylor claim to have re-taken the capital of Monrovia.

Government forces have been waging bloody battle with rebel groups for 4 days, as part of the rebels' 3-year campaign to oust Taylor, who has been indicted by the U.N. on war crimes charges.

Pictures of terrified refugees caught in the fighting have led to calls for international intervention. The key candidate: the U.S.
