Gay Pride in NYC Story aired: Monday, June 30, 2003
Hundreds of thousands of people marched in New York City at the 34th Annual Gay Pride parade this weekend to celebrate what they see as a month of victories.
Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down laws that banned sodomy, and earlier this month, Canada became the third country to allow gay couples to marry.
Producer Karen Pelland joined the throngs to find out if this pride day felt any different.
