Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal (AP)
Saudi Foreign Minister Meets Bush
Story aired: Tuesday, July 29, 2003

The White House said this morning that it will not declassify information contained in last week's congressional report on the September 11th attacks. That decision came just hours before a meeting between President George W. Bush and the Saudi foreign minister.

Twenty-eight pages left blank in the congressional report had reportedly suggested that people connected to the Saudi government gave money to the hijackers. Saudi officials, furious about those accusations, have been asking for those sections to be made public.

Guests:

Richard Murphy, former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia and senior fellow for the Middle East for the Council on Foreign Relations.
