Sherman Alexie's "Ten Little Indians"

Sherman Alexie writes about the lives of Native American, mixing humor and tragedy in his depictions. In his most famous work, the screenplay for the 1998 film "Smoke Signals," two American Indians travel off the reservation, and define for themselves and for viewers what it means to be a "real Indian."

The search for what it means to be Indian, and what it means to be human, is at the core of Sherman Alexie's newest work, a collection of short stories Titled "Ten Little Indians."
