Liz Phair
Chick Rockers
Story aired: Monday, August 04, 2003

Some rockers have a hard time entering adulthood: you either change and grow up, or Botox your way through the rest of your life.

A new crop of alternative female rockers are now facing some of the same challenges that the Rolling Stones and Lou Reed confronted twenty years ago: how to make adult music, and how to make a living without losing their core fans.

Our rock and pop critic Tim Riley is here to fill us in on some new CDs from Amy Rigby, Julianna Hatfield and Liz Phair.

Guests:

Tim Riley, music critic.
