"Step into Liquid" Poster
Step into Liquid
Story aired: Wednesday, August 13, 2003

In 1966, a low-budget labor of love, a documentary, made waves around the globe. Filmgoers and critics alike loved an unlikely hit called "Endless Summer" by surf documentary pioneer Bruce Brown.

Brown, a devoted surfer, captured the aura of freedom, coolness, humor, and daring entrancing not only surfers, but millions of the utterly landlocked. Fans that didn't or couldn't surf could at least dream of blue water and sugary sand and drink in the unique style and mystical vibe of surfing.

Two generations have come together in a new surf documentary called, "Step into Liquid," which is written, edited, narrated and directed by Bruce Brown's son, Dana Brown.
