Cover detail, "They Don't Like Me" by Jane Katch
"They Don't Like Me"
Story aired: Wednesday, September 03, 2003

Think back to the first day of school, way back, to the very first day of school. Perhaps you can recall that butterfly feeling, or some of the dreaded phrases: "you can't play with us"; "I'm telling"; "we don't like you."

The phrase "they don't like me," one of the worst things the parents a young preschooler can here, is the title of a new book by Jane Katch. Katch is a preschool teacher at the Touchstone Community School in Grafton, Massachusetts.

Guests:

Jane Katch, author and teacher.
