Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz (AP)
Wolfowitz Testifies on Iraq
Story aired: Tuesday, September 09, 2003

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz was on Capitol Hill today where he was grilled about the cost of rebuilding and occupying Iraq.

As one of the architects of the Iraq war and also the Bush administration's whole foreign policy doctrine, Wolfowitz has been one of the administration lightning rods. In the past, he promised that a free Iraqi people would crowd the streets to welcome U.S. troops and that a democracy would grow from the day Saddam fell.
