Anniversary of the Chilean Coup

There was another 9/11 that shattered another country, an event that resounded around the world. On September 11th, 1973 in Chile, the Chilean military overthrew the elected government of leftist president Salvador Allende.

This week, that is the second anniversary of the 9/11 we all remember, is the 30th anniversary of what happened in Chile.

Peter Kornbluth, author of the new book "The Pinochet File," joins Here and Now to discuss U.S. efforts in Chile to overthrow Allende and replace him with a military dictator.
