"Late Beethoven: Music, Thought, Imagination" by Maynard Solomon
Books on Beethoven
Story aired: Monday, September 22, 2003

More than 200 years after his birth, what could possibly be left to say that's fresh about Ludwig van Beethoven? Nearly 900 books about the great master are in print.

Now there are two more, and as it turns out, with good reason.

Here and Now's classical music connoisseur Ellen Pfeiffer has read the new books "Beethoven: The Music and the Man" by Lewis Lockwood and "Late Beethoven" by Maynard Solomon.
