Movie poster detail, "Cold Creek Manor"
Cold Creek Manor
Story aired: Friday, September 26, 2003

Insecure times produce some pretty jittery audiences. That theory has been fodder for filmmakers for decades.

Director Mike Figgis, best known for his 1997 Academy Award winning film, "Leaving Las Vegas," is the latest to use contemporary fears and anxieties to fuel his new movie, "Cold Creek Manor."

It stars Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid as a city couple looking to have a go at country living. The big old house they end up buying is a house that's too good to be true. It has a secret, scary past, at least according to its previous owner...

Film reviewer Eric Schaefer joins Here and Now to discuss the film.
