Paul Newman in the PBS production of "Our Town"
Our Town
Story aired: Thursday, October 02, 2003

As the old theater saying goes, at every moment somewhere in the world, in some high school, Thorton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize winning play "Our Town" is being staged.

"Our Town" is one of the most performed American plays since its Broadway premiere in 1938. It generated more buzz recently when Paul Newman returned to Broadway last year to play the Stage Manager.

Harper Collins has released a new, illustrated hardcover version of the play, and this weekend, PBS stations across the country will air a televised version of Paul Newman in "Our Town."

Guests:

Bill Marx, WBUR Arts.
