Jazz Guitarists Bill Frisell and Melvin Sparks
Story aired: Monday, October 06, 2003

It's said Bill Frisell plays the guitar the way Miles Davis played the trumpet.

Melvin Sparks was part of the soul jazz movement of the 1960s, and he jammed with B.B. King when he was 13.

If you're looking to expand your CD collection or perhaps have your choices validated, Here and Now jazz aficionado James Isaacs says these two artists are worthy of your consideration.

Guests:

James Isaacs, jazz music reviewer.
