Osama bin Laden (AP, file)
Bin Laden's Son Active in Iran
Story aired: Tuesday, October 14, 2003

Saad bin Laden, a son of Osama bin Laden, and a small group of top Al Qaeda officials, are living in a remote corner of Iran. Reports claim that from there, the group is directing terror operations around the world.

According to two reports in the Washington Post, western and Arab intelligence organizations say the group is being protected by a secretive Iranian security force called the Jerusalem Force that operates beyond the control of the central Iranian government.

Dana Priest and Douglas Farah wrote the two stories, and Dana priest joins us now on the line from Washington.
