U.N. Looks at Iraq Role Story aired: Thursday, October 16, 2003
The United Nations Security Council voted unanimously this morning to approve a new resolution on Iraq, one that calls for more troops and more money to be funneled into the region. The vote is being called a diplomatic success for the United States.
Among those countries that voted in favor of the resolution, were France, Germany, Russia, and Syria, countries whose leaders were vocal in their opposition to the war itself.
Joining us to discuss the significance of the vote is United Nations reporter Linda Fasulo.
