Story aired: Thursday, October 23, 2003

The man millions of Bosnians knew simply as "Dedo," or grandfather, was buried yesterday. Former Bosnian president Alija Izetbegovic died at 78 and was mourned by 200,000 in Sarajevo.

260,000 people died in Balkan bloodletting from 1992 to 1995.

Even as Izetbegovic was laid to rest, news came from the U.N. war crimes court in the Hague, confirming that the former president himself has been investigated for war crimes.

Guests:

Peter Galbraith, former U.S. ambassador to Croatia.
