Rumsfeld in Republican Circles
Story aired: Friday, October 24, 2003

Republican members of Congress are telling reporters they are losing patience with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. A report in today's New York Times says Rumsfeld and top aides such as Paul Wolfowitz have ignored or refused key Republican leaders' requests for information on defense matters.

One top Republican official said Rumsfeld has become "a millstone around the president's neck."
