Madame Chiang Dies

Madame Chiang Kai-shek died yesterday in New York at 105. Her life spanned the epic history of China in the twentieth century.

When she married General Chiang Kai-shek , she married into his nationalist cause and was eventually forced out of china by Mao Tse Ttung's Communists in 1948.

To talk about the life of Madame Chiang Kai-shek, here and Now is joined by Professor William Joseph, a specialist in Asian studies at Wellesley College.
