"Softly With These Songs: The Best of Roberta Flack" album cover
Roberta Flack
Story aired: Monday, October 27, 2003

Instantly recognizable, Roberta Flack's recording of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" became a mega hit, and helped establish this classically trained former music teacher as one of the premier voices of a generation.

But Roberta Flack can talk as well as sing. She had her own radio show for years, has strong opinions, and the resume to back them up.

Flack travels to Boston this week to promote her new holiday CD and to appear at "Stepping Out 2003, " a benefit for the Dimmock Community Health Center.
