Fires Threaten Valley Near LA

Firefighters work to contain blazes that threaten the San Fernando Valley.

Fifteen people have died in California and two have died in Mexico. At least 1,137 homes have been destroyed in California, and about 800 square miles of brush, forest, and residential area have been burned.

Bob Martinez of U.S. Southern Operations Center representing state and federal agencies joins Here and Now with updates and analysis on the California wildfires.
