Christina Rouner as Betty Short in "The Black Dahlia"
The Black Dahlia
Story aired: Wednesday, October 29, 2003

Most of us know what film noir is. Those black and white films of the '40s and '50s in which a luscious femme fatal plays the leading man like a violin. The leading man is usually a cynical detective who's seen it all, at least until he saw the femme fatale.

In the same spirit, there's something theater critic Bill Marx calls stage noir. Bill Marx joins Here and Now to talk about stage noir and to give his review of the American premiere of the play "The Black Dahlia," which is on stage at the Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut.
