Seventy million U.S. Citizens are between the ages of 18 and 35. Tonight, CNN will try to rock that young vote...

Russell Simmons is trying to hip hop it.

In the 1970s, Simmons helped sell hip hop to the world, as manager of his brother's band, Run DMC, and then as co-founder of his own record label Def Jam.

He's also chair of the Hip Hop Summit Action Network, which invites hip hop stars to cities like Philadelphia to register voters.
