Senate Approves Medicare Bill

The U.S. Senate passed a bill to reform Medicare that, depending on who you listen to, would cause its "unraveling" as Senator Ted Kennedy puts it, or its "modernizing," in the words of President George Bush.

So which is it?

Health policy expert Ken Thorpe, who teaches at Emory University in Atlanta, joins Here and Now to explain how the Medicare reform bill will impact recipients of Medicare, drug companies, and drug makers.
