Venezuela Recall Petition Ends
Story aired: Monday, December 01, 2003

They're at it again in Venezuela, another in a series of attempts to bring down the country's president Hugo Chavez.

Today, a 4-day petition drive ends, which organizers say will produce the 2.4 million signatures they need to force a referendum on Chavez, though the president's been shoring up his support among the country's poor by throwing money at them, in the form of new government projects.
