Chinese Civet Cats Killed in SARS Scare

Researchers in Hong Kong say a patient with SARS was infected with a new strain of the virus.

In the meantime, authorities on China's mainland are destroying 10,000 civet cats -- weasel like animals -- in an effort to control the spread of SARS.
