High Court Considers Disabilities Case Story aired: Tuesday, January 13, 2004
Disabilities rights advocates chanting "justice for all, we won't crawl" put aside their wheelchairs and crawled up the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court today to make a point about an important disabilities rights case the high court is hearing.
It's the case of George Lane, who had to crawl up two flights of stairs in a Tennessee courthouse that didn't have an elevator. Lane was arrested when he refused to crawl up the stairs a second time or be carried.
