Milk Carton
Organic Milk: Marketing and Reality
Story aired: Monday, February 23, 2004

It's been said that the world divides roughly into those people who don't have enough food and those who have too much.

Many Americans fall into the latter category. Yet, with Mad Cow and Avian Flu in the news, it seems that supermarket shoppers are increasingly interested, even anxious, about the origins of their food.

Here and Now producer Allan Coukell takes an in-depth look "behind the label" at a single product that's symbolic of health and safety: milk.

 SPECIAL FEATURE:

Examine the front and back labels from an organic milk carton.
