Former MP Says Britain Spied on U.N.

A former top British official has publicly acknowledged that her own government spied on U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Clare Short, who was a cabinet minister in Tony Blair's government in the lead-up to the Iraq war, told the BBC Today program that she had personally read transcripts of Kofi Annan's conversations.
