Abu Musab Zarqawi (AP)
Abu Musab Zarqawi
Story aired: Tuesday, March 09, 2004

Trying to unearth the roots of the ongoing insurgency in Iraq, U.S. officials have brought up no single name more frequently than Abu Musab Zarqawi, a Jordanian man blamed for dozens of attacks and suicide bombings.

He has a $10 million price on his head, and reporters who attend coalition briefings in Baghdad say Zarqawi's name comes up just about every day.

Is Zarqawi the mastermind and the super-villain he's believed to be?

Sebastian Rotella of the Los Angeles Times joins Here and Now from Amman, Jordan to discuss Abu Musab Zarqawi.
