Coalition forces are tackling several fronts in iraq today. Foreces are warily eyeing the anti-American Shiite cleric Mogtada Al Sadr and his followers in Baghdad and Najaf.

U.S. forces are also confronting insurgent Sunnis in the city of Fallujah, where four American contractors were brutally killed last week and where most of the anti-American sentiment in Iraq is centered.

Explosions and gunfire were heard from inside Fallujah throughout the night and into Tuesday, and U.S. and Iraqi forces surround the city ahead of a planned operation called "vigilant resolve."

Guests:

Retired Major Charles Heyman, senior defense analyst for Jane's Consultancy.
