Earlier this week, Here and Now spoke to Gary Hart. Between 1998 and 2001, the former senator and one-time Democratic presidential candidate co-chaired the Hart-Rudman Commission on National Security.
The commission issued its report in January of 2001, and this week, Hart said he spent months trying to get anyone to pay attention to the report's warnings about terrorism, including the press.
