Gandhi-Led Opposition Wins India Election

India's prime minister submitted his resignation today after a stunning upset in national elections.

After five years in office, Prime Minister Atal Vajpayee, a right-wing nationalist turned pragmatist, is out. Back in power is the populist political dynasty of the Ghandi family, led by Italian-born Sonya Ghandi.
