Giuliani Testifies before 9/11 Commission

Former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani testified before the 9/11 Commission in New York today. He told a room crowded with survivors and victims' families that there were "terrible mistakes made" on September 11th, 2001, but that they were unavoidable because of the unprecedented circumstances of the day.

Giuliani testified on the second day of hearings, as the commission examines mistakes made by the emergency response teams the day of the attacks. Also testifying this morning were New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge.
