Blast Near Iraq Coalition HQ
Story aired: Monday, May 24, 2004

The United Nations Security Council met behind closed doors this morning to hear U.S. and British diplomats present their plan for the handover of power in Iraq on June 30th.

Meanwhile in Iraq itself, television sets across the country are tuned to Arab news channels as they play and replay a home video of what is described by Iraqis as a wedding party. The video allegedly shows civilians celebrating hours before they were killed in an American air strike.

U.S. military officials insist the evidence on the ground shows the victims were insurgents.
