Al-Jazeera television studio in Doha, Qatar (AP)
Inside the "Control Room"
Story aired: Wednesday, June 09, 2004

Earlier this week, at the G8 summit, National Security Advisor Condaleeza Rice accused the Arabic language broadcaster Al Jazeera of inaccurate reporting and said that the network presented a biased portrayal of the
Middle East.

Such accusations are not new to the satellite network, but a new documentary "Control Room" seeks to shed some light into Al Jazeera, the favorite channel of 40 million Arab viewers, during the crucial six weeks of the Iraqi war.

"Control Room" opens in selected cities around the country on Friday, and filmmaker Jehane Noujaim joins us in the studio to talk about the documentary.

Guests:

Filmmaker Jehane Noujaim.
