Iraqi and U.S. Governments Want Saddam Hussein Trial in Iraq
Story aired: Tuesday, June 15, 2004

Iraq's interim president says the United States will hand Saddam Hussein over to Iraqi authorities within the next two weeks. President Ghazi Al-Yawar also told reporters Saddam would be tried as soon as possible.

But Saddam Hussein may just be the hottest potato in Iraq right now. Judges are refusing to serve on his tribunal for fear of their lives. And the Red Cross says the Iraqi government must indict him soon, or let him go.
