Story aired: Friday, June 18, 2004

Time may be running out for American Paul Johnson, kidnapped in Saudi Arabia last Saturday. His captors, a group called Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, say they'll execute Johnson unless the Saudi government releases imprisoned militants.

The deadline expires sometime today.

American and Saudi security forces are continuing to search for Johnson, and there are calls from some Saudis to spare his life.
