Iran Seizes British Vessels

British officials confirm today that they have lost communication with three ships on a routine mission in the waters between Iraq and Iran. Iranian television reported that the small patrol boats were seized and eight British crew arrested by Iranian forces.

We spoke earlier with BBC correspondent Jim Muir in Tehran and asked him what the British Embassy there was saying.
