Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon (AP)
Sharon Offers Sanctuary to French Jews
Story aired: Monday, July 19, 2004

Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon regularly calls on Jews around the world to make Aliyah: a return to Israel.

In a speech on Sunday in Jerusalem, Sharon called on French Jews to make the move as early as possible, because of a rise in anti-Semitism in France. He said, "I think it's a must. They have to move immediately."

Guests:

Guillaume Parmentier, the French Institute for Foreign Affairs
