Reforming Intelligence

The Republican head of the Senate Intelligence Committee is proposing the most sweeping overhaul of the Central Intelligence Agency in half a century.

The proposal by Senator Pat Roberts would reorder most of the country's intelligence organizations under a powerful national intelligence director, who would oversee intelligence, covert operations, analysis, and information gathering.
