U.S. military vehicle burns after clash in Baghdad. (AP)
Suspected Iraqi Militant Facility Attacked
Story aired: Monday, September 13, 2004

At least 16 people are dead in Iraq today, as U.S. war planes pounded the alleged hideout of militants in Fallujah. The militants, reportedly followers of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, are suspected of launching strikes across the country.

This weekend more than 75 civilians were killed in clashes, and one of the most ferocious of the clashes took place in Baghdad, where a U.S. military helicopter reportedly opened fire on a crowd of people thought to be looting a burning U.S. fighting vehicle.
